News + EventsHigh School Intensive - August 9-13This week-long intensive is designed for high school students who are at an intermediate level or higher in their dance training. Each day, participants will take two classes focusing on Modern, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Participants will also work with a member of Zenon Dance Company to create a dance that will be performed at the end of the week.
Family Discount - A $25 discount is offered for any additional sibling registering for a Zenon Camp. Jazz Week Adult Intensive - August 9-13
This week-long intensive will include jazz dance technique, style, history and master classes featuring Joe Chvala, Zoe Sealy, Amy Sackett, Linda Talcott Lee and Kenna Sarge. It is designed for Intermediate/Advanced Level dancers. Please register by August 5th. Classes Run August 9-13 from 11am-4pm
Urban Contemporary Master Class - August 8This Urban Contemporary Dance Workshop with Leslie Parker will investigate punctuated moments that exist between fluidity and tension in movement. It fuses folkloric thought derived from the African Diaspora reinterpreted through an urban expression using polyrhythm variations and Contemporary technique. Please register by August 5th.
Registration: Students may register in advance for the workshops through August 5th to reserve a spot. If there are not enough students pre-registered, the workshop will be canceled. Students are welcome to drop-in to workshops if there is space available. However, Zenon must have a minimum number of students pre-registered to run the workshop. If you are planning to attend the workshop you are encouraged to register in advance. Drop in students are not guaranteed a spot in class and should check for updates on canceled workshops.
