The central concept of Pilates revolves around strengthening the core of the body – the deep abdominals, lower back and the muscles around the spine. This workout is mat-based and designed to develop longer, leaner muscles. The class is a low-impact workout suitable for people of all ages and health backgrounds.
This class follows a Vinyasa, or flowing method of aligning breath with movement to increase strength, stamina, flexibility and focus. It will get your blood flowing, heart rate up, and work to improve circulation, confidence, breath capacity, muscle tone, and clarity of mind. Dynamic asanas are balanced with more relaxing, restorative poses to invite a subtle calm in the body, mind and spirit.
