Fundamentals Ballet

This class will focus on the basic steps in ballet as well as proper body positions. It is appropriate for the pedestrian who has never stepped foot in a dance class as well as those who have been away and would like to refresh their basic technique.

Day/Time:  Saturdays 12:30-2:00 pm

Beginning 1 Ballet

Day/Time:  Thursdays 12:00-1:30 pm  
Instructor: Sharon Varosh

Beginning 1 to 2 Ballet

This class runs from September through August.  It starts the student from the very beginning.  If you are new to ballet, we suggest you start in Fundamentals. Beginning on the floor for the first few weeks, followed by barre and center work, body placement and awareness are the main goals of this class.

Day/Time:  Wednesdays 5:30-7:00 pm

Beginning 2 Ballet

This class is appropriate for students with at least one year of ballet training. Students do a full barre and center work, with sequences that are relatively simple and short to allow strong technical development while challenging students to do more. The atmosphere is light and fun.

Day/Time:  Saturdays 2:00-3:30 pm

Intermediate 1 Ballet

The pace of the intermediate 1 class is quicker than that of the Saturday Beginning 2, with sequences increasing in length and difficulty. There is a greater emphasis placed on teaching more of the intricate, difficult steps, as well as on extracting greater freedom of movement and expression from each student.

Day/Time:  Tuesdays 5:30-7:00 pm

Intermediate 2 Ballet

The intermediate 2 ballet class moves quickly. Both barre and center work are more challenging, involving longer, more intricate sequences. This, of course, translates into even more fun!  The curriculum will build from September to December, January to May, and then again from June to August. Come join us!  We have a ball!

Advanced Ballet

This class is for students with at least 4 or more years of ballet training.

Day/time: Mondays 9:30-11:00 am
Instructor: Becky Stachfield

Beginning Pointe WITH Beginning 2 Ballet

Following the Saturday Beginning 2 ballet class, this class is geared to beginning pointe students, but accommodates the challenge needed by more advanced students as well. For the last 15 minutes, when more advanced center work is presented, most beginning students change to ballet slippers.
* class price includes both Sat. Beginning 2 Ballet and Pointe

Day/Time: Saturdays 2:00-3:30 AND 3:30-4:15 pm
