Summer Ballet Classes | June 7- August 29

Beginning Ballet
Day/Time: Wednesdays 5:30-7:00 pm  
Instructor: Becky Stachfield  
Cost: $120  
This class runs from September through August.  It starts the student from the very beginning.  If you are new to ballet you need to start in September.

Beginning Ballet
Day/Time: Saturdays 12:30-2:00 pm  
Instructor: Lisa Larson  
Cost: $120
Beginning on the floor for the first few weeks, followed by barre and center work, body placement and awareness are the main goals of this class. It is appropriate for the pedestrian who has never stepped foot in a dance class as well as those who have been away and would like to return.

Advanced Beginning Ballet

Day/Time: Thursdays 12:00-1:30 pm  
Instructor: Sharon Varosh  
Cost: $120
This class is appropriate for students with at least one year of ballet training. Students do a full barre and center work, with sequences that are relatively simple and short to allow strong technical development while challenging students to do more. The atmosphere is light and fun.

Advanced Beginning Ballet
Day/Time: Sundays 1:30-3:00 pm  
Instructor: Sharon Varosh

This class is appropriate for students with at least one year of ballet training. Students do a full barre and center work, with sequences that are relatively simple and short to allow strong technical development while challenging students to do more. The atmosphere is light and fun.

Intermediate Ballet

Day/Time: Tuesdays 5:30-7:00 pm

Cost: $120  
The pace of the intermediate class is quicker than that of the Saturday advanced beginning, with sequences increasing in length and difficulty. There is a greater emphasis placed on teaching more of the intricate, difficult steps, as well as on extracting greater freedom of movement and expression from each student.

Intermediate Ballet
Day/Time: Fridays 12:00 – 1:30 pm

This class is for students with at least 3 or more years of ballet training.

Intermediate/Advanced Ballet
Day/Time: Thursdays 5:30-7:00 pm  
Instructor: Lisa Larson  
Cost: $120   
The intermediate advanced ballet class moves quickly. Both barre and center work are more challenging, involving longer, more intricate sequences. This, of course, translates into even more fun! Students new to ballet need to begin in the first 2 weeks of the session-September for the fall session, January for the winter and/or spring session and June for the summer session. The curriculum will build from September to December, January to May, and then again from June to August. Come join us!  We have a ball!

Advanced Ballet
Day/time: Mondays 9:30-11:00 am

This class if for students with at least 4 or more years of ballet training.

Beginning Pointe Ballet
Day/Time: Saturdays 3:30-4:15 pm
Instructor: Lisa Larson  
Cost: $108   
Following the advanced beginning ballet class, beginning pointe is geared to beginning pointe students, but accommodates the challenge needed by more advanced students as well. For the last 15 minutes, when more advanced center work is presented, most beginning students change to ballet slippers.

Registration

There are several ways to register for classes.

  • Phone:  Call 612-338-1101 to register over the phone with a credit card payment.
  • Fax:  Download the registration form and fax it to 612-338-2479 with a credit card payment.
  • Mail:  Download the registration form and mail it to the Zenon office with a check or credit card payment.
  • In Person:  Stop by the Zenon office to register in person. If you are planning to register at your first class, please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early so you have enough time to complete your registration. To save time you can download the registration form and fill it out ahead of time.
