House Dance

This street dance is danced to House Music (style of electronic dance music that was developed by dance club DJ’s in Chicago in the early to mid 1980’s). This style of dance emphasizes footwork, movement from the torso area (jacking), and large movements focused with grace and control (lofting). House dancing focuses on the subtle rhythms and riffs of House music. Elements that House dance has evolved from are:  Lindy, African, Jazz and Tap. Previous experience in these styles is not required, but very helpful in learning this style.

Day/Time: Wednesdays 8:00-9:00 pm
Instructor: Arturo Miles
